Flying into Central Australia is made convenient with Qantas flying directly in to Alice Springs from most capital cities and Tiger Airways flying directly into Alice Springs from Melbourne. Virgin Blue will fly directly from Sydney to Ayers Rock from August 2010 and Qantas also into Ayers Rock.

By Coach
Travelling by bus or coach is a great option if you want to experience the adventure of an Outback road trip, but don't want to drive yourself. Instead, you can relax on one of the many air-conditioned coachlines that regularly travel to the Centre. Please contact the Visitor Information Centre for more information or through the tours section on our website.
Public Buses
Once in Alice Springs there is a local bus service that operates on weekdays and Saturday mornings, however they do not operate during public holidays. This bus service offers public transport to all four major town regions: North, East, South and West.
There are Taxi’s and Private Hire services in Alice Springs that operate all year round, they are readily available meeting flight's arrive into Alice Springs and also from the Ghan, Train Station not to mention at the taxi ranks around town.
Minimum Fee for a Taxi or Private Hire from the Airport to the Town Centre is approximately $30AUD. From the Railway Station to the Town Centre approximately $10 -$20AUD.
There is also a Shuttle bus service that operates from both locations for a cheaper fare.
