Membership
CATIA membership serves as an official commitment to tourism in The Centre. In return for that commitment, CATIA provides members with a range of valuable benefits. CATIA recognises that businesses derive different benefits from tourism and CATIA's marketing activities, depending on their size and whether they work directly in tourism, so the association has developed different levels of membership to suit everyone's needs. For more information on the categories of CATIA membership, contact the CATIA Administration Manager.
Information
CATIA produces 'inside', a monthly newsletter that highlights important tourism and local issues. The newsletter also updates members on all CATIA activities and opportunities and features an in-depth article on one CATIA member each month.
CATIA also sends out regular emails and faxstreams, providing up-to-date, important information to members.
Meetings and Networking
Being a member-based organisation, CATIA holds frequent meetings to address important industry issues. Although these meetings are not mandatory, CATIA encourages members to attend, in order to gain the maximum networking and informational benefits of membership. Full CATIA members also have the right to vote in any CATIA proceedings.
Free Listing in Local Central Australia Visitor Guide
This local guide is widely used by visitors to The Centre. CATIA provides all members with a free listing in the back of this brochure.
Representation and Advice
CATIA works closely with many of the key stakeholders in The Centre, including government and statutory authorities. CATIA continually advocates the interests of tourism and association members. The CATIA team can also provide reliable advice on a range of topics, including all aspects of marketing.
The Executive Committee
An executive committee directs CATIA. The committee is comprised of elected and appointed representatives from the CATIA membership. Any full member can run for the committee and take an active role in the direction of the association.
Documentation of Membership
CATIA provides all members with a certificate of membership and display sticker. These serve as proof to visitors and locals alike that the member supports tourism and welcomes the opportunity to serve visitors to The Centre.
